With the commitment of Marcus Nilblack it ETSU’s point guard situation may not be dire.
After Daivien Williamson transferred to Wake Forest walk-on Jordan Coffin was the top point guard on the Bucs depth chart.
Sure, there was some hope Kansas State transfer David Sloan might get a waiver and play right away, but what if he doesn’t? And what kind of impact will Sloan make after averaging fewer than 20 minutes a game for team that finished 10–21 and in last place in the Big 12 Conference?
Would it have meant moving Patrick Good or one of the few other guards to the point?
Today, that situation seems a bit less likely with the addition of Nilblack and Truth Harris before him?
Both incoming freshmen are a bit on the thin side, and one wonders if Harris was formally signed before the addition of one-time Ole Miss commit Nilblack by design.
