How Did Toronto Suddenly Turn Rowdy?

Cheering injuries brings out an ugliness unheard of previously among Canadians.

Let’s get one thing straight.

Fans should not cheer when players are injured. It’s that simple.

Philadelphia Eagles fans have a terrible reputation for many reasons, among them they cheered when Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field after suffering a career ending spinal injury in 1999.

Irvin was able to walk after this injury, but never play again.

There’s an argument Pittsburgh Steelers fans were even worse. They cheered when their own quarterbacks went down, even the great Terry Bradshaw, upon being injured, generations ago.

So it’s not like Kevin Durant getting cheered when he went down to injury was anything new.

Except, maybe, it was from Toronto fans.

You know, Canadians. So friendly Jimmy Kimmel supposedly couldn’t find a Toronto citizen that would speak ill of the Golden State Warriors.

One gets the feeling that piece was edited now.
