Samford is middle of the road and 19-1 to win the Southern Conference Tournament. Same as VMI. You are actually championing victories against teams with losing records- including in the case of Oregon State a 3-25 team. Southern Conference teams have long not only competed but defeated good teams from major conferences, let alone the bottom feeders you wish to champion. If this is what you think is the zenith for Samford basketball is then no wonder you could only attract a high school coach.
