East Tennessee State athletic director Scott Carter isn’t a bad guy.

Carter was a former fullback at ETSU and has worked in athletic adminstration for 17 years.

But he made a bad statement to Erik Ainge this summer, or at least one that appeared cliched at best and maybe even a bit disturbing at worse.
