Tennessee Volunteers head football coach Jeremy Pruitt is not a well-spoken man.

That’s rather apparent to anyone who might tune in to his coach’s show, where he stumbles through commentary with host Bob Kessling.

But now he says one thing and the next day his assistant coach is running damage control to refute it.

On Thursday, June 18 Pruitt announced his team wanted to wear black jerseys for their upcoming game with Kentucky.

After the game, Pruitt continued, the jerseys would be auctioned off with funds going to Black Lives Matter.

But the following day, assistant head coach Tee Martin did a talk show tour throughout Knoxville backtracking what Pruitt said.
