Three years ago today Jesse Krull of WJHL reported the ETSU men’s basketball team knelt for the national anthem.

From WJHL. A little known fact is this was actaully the third time the team knelt for the anthem but the first time it was reported.

Locals were outraged.

Boosters withheld support.

The incident was poorly handled by ETSU administration trying to play both sides.
