What’s With the Vols Depth Chart?
Not having a single starter listed at 12 different starting positions is not a good look for Jeremy Pruitt.
Tennessee Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt is still in the honeymoon phase.
His first team won one more game than their predecessors the previous season, so the feeling is he has the team on the right track.
He doesn’t make foolish comments about five star hearts or what he wants from the media.
In fact, he doesn’t make many comments at all, and that’s beginning to be disturbing.
Case in point, the depth chart released yesterday prior to the Georgia State game.
There are only 10 starters listed on it.
While we know Jarrett Guarantano will give the ball to Ty Chandler and throw to Jauan Jennings, Josh Palmer, and Marquez Callaway, we know very little else of who and why.
And please, no talk about “Jeremy Pruitt is trying to keep the Panthers guessing!”
It’s Georgia State. If you have to rely on starting lineup deception to beat a team that went 2–10 in the Sun Belt Conference last season, it’s going to be a very long year for Tennessee football.
Furthermore, it insults the player who does start. Take center. You’d be shocked if it wasn’t Brandon…
